But GetTaxi, which has just raised $12 million in Series C funding led by Kreos Capital, is now launching in the hotly contested e-hailing battleground of New York. The big difference, says U.S. CEO Jing Herman, is that GetTaxi has a full customer service program, it offers consistent fixed pricing, and it will use existing fleets of black cars to scale supply quickly. “We see New York as a bigger opportunity than the rest of the country combined,” Herman said.
