Katy Perry uses WhatsApp all day — on the elliptical, in the bath and even on the toilet.

Here’s proof. The video for Perry’s new song “Roar,” released today, shows a day-long WhatsApp group chat between Perry and friends with the song lyrics told in a mix of text and emoji.

This is a “lyrics” video, the precursor to a video that will likely show Perry’s face. Last week WhatsApp added voice messaging — maybe Perry can put that to use for the real video.

WhatApp, the mobile messaging app with 300 million active monthly users worldwide, said it does not have an endorsement deal with Perry.
