Science Now reports on research showing that "tickling" a stopped heart might be just as effective as shocking it...:

"The standard treatment for cardiac arrest may make good television, but having up to 1000 volts pumped into your chest is a seriously painful treatment. Now scientists have discovered that a series of small electric shocks may be as effective at restoring the heart's beating as one large jolt. The new strategy has only been tested in beagles so far, but there's optimism it will also work in humans."

Are not all residents of the U.S. something - Americans? Doesn't American history in and of itself include everything and everyone that has contributed to the creation, building, and preservation of the U.S.A.? Do we really need to micro-dissect history for specific 'group' contributions? How are historians and textbook publishers going to discern the sexual preferences and ethnic heritage of historical contributors?
